Kelly’s remarkable goal during extra time secured a 2-1 victory for England over Germany in the UEFA European Championship.
Chastain famously celebrated in similar fashion in 1999 after scoring the deciding penalty kick for the United States in the Women’s World Cup final against China.
This win marks England’s first major tournament victory after finishing as runners-up in the Euro championship in 1984 and 2009, and claiming third place in the 2015 World Cup.
