Gina Carano is open to the idea of a potential super fight with UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey.

Carano, a trailblazer in women’s MMA who later transitioned into acting, responded to Rousey’s recent comments indicating her willingness to come out of retirement for a fight against Carano.

In an interview with FOX News, Carano had this to say:

“You know what? Just never put it past me,” Carano said when asked if she’d consider fighting Rousey. “It could happen. It would be like, you know, six months from now, because I have a lot of stuff I need to do. But my fight really is with, I really want to create, I want to direct, I want to produce, I want to give Ronda Rousey a job in one of my movies, so maybe there is something we can do there.”

The UFC had previously attempted to arrange a fight between the two fighters. Carano disclosed that the UFC had offered her $1 million to face the then-undefeated bantamweight champion Rousey. Nevertheless, she felt rushed after UFC President Dana White announced to the media that she was being signed before she had a chance to prepare adequately with a fight camp and team.

Rousey, with a record of 12-2, has not competed in MMA since her defeat in a title fight against Amanda Nunes in December 2016. She subsequently pursued a career in WWE and became a mother.

On the other hand, Carano’s last fight was in August 2009, when she lost to Cris Cyborg for the inaugural Strikeforce women’s featherweight title. This defeat by TKO stands as Carano’s only professional loss.

At present, Carano is 40 years old, while Rousey is 35.
