Last month, the NFL made an announcement that DeAndre Hopkins, the star wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals, had failed a drug test. Consequently, he faced a suspension for the first six games of the upcoming 2022 season due to a violation of the league’s PED policy.

Hopkins consistently maintains his innocence and argues that his positive test results were due to contamination. He explains that a very tiny amount of a substance called “Ostarine” was found in his system, causing him to fail the test since it is a banned substance.

In typical scenarios where an athlete fails a drug test, they commonly attribute the positive result to flaws in the testing system.

Fans have heard similar excuses numerous times, making it challenging to trust the athlete’s claims. However, Hopkins has received considerable support from people on Twitter, showing a different response this time.

Despite having capable pass catchers like Marquise Brown, A.J. Green, and Zach Ertz on the Cardinals’ roster, the absence of the All-Pro wideout will undoubtedly be felt by the team.

Hopkins aims to have his six-game suspension reduced before the season commences.
