In the second game of the battle between the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames, the Oilers made a strong defensive effort after a tough first game, resulting in a 5-3 victory to tie the series. Despite the Flames leading 2-0 in the first period and 3-1 early in the second, the Oilers staged a comeback on the road led by Connor McDavid, who contributed a goal and an assist. Zach Hyman scored the decisive shorthanded goal in the third period. The Carolina Hurricanes also secured a 2-0 series lead over the New York Rangers with a shutout victory. Brendan Smith and Sebastian Aho scored the goals, while goaltender Antti Raanta achieved his first postseason shutout with 21 saves.
