In May 2020, boxer Tom Schwarz was charged with breaking his ex-fiance’s jaw in three places, leading to her needing multiple surgeries with plates and screws. Schwarz avoided a 10-year prison sentence and paid $2,700 in fines.

Over the past weekend, as Schwarz prepared for his return to the boxing ring, two women took to the stage to ensure his past actions were not forgotten. They boldly appeared topless with messages “End male violence” and “Support Tessa” written on their chests.

According to reports from German publication Bild, the women, identified as Klara Martens and Hellen Langhorst, rushed towards Schwarz before the fight began shouting “no stage for perpetrators.” This public display aimed to protest Schwarz, who was engaging in his first boxing match since being accused of causing serious harm to his ex-girlfriend named Tessa.

Despite the serious nature of the allegations, Schwarz managed to escape a lengthy prison term by paying a fine to the state treasury. The 27-year-old heavyweight broke his ex-fiance’s jaw three times in the incident that occurred in May 2020.

In an interview with BILD, Martens stated, “This action was significant to us as we are dedicated to combating violence against women. Given the lack of substantial legal consequences, we wanted to publicly expose him and emphasize that his actions will not be forgotten.”
