In the NHL, no team is currently on a significant winning streak. The Dallas Stars hold the best streak at three games, largely due to Jason Robertson’s impressive performance against the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night.

Robertson scored twice to give his team the lead in the first and second periods. However, the game took a turn when his team fell behind 3-2 in the third period. Denis Gurianov leveled the score, leading to overtime. In the final 30 seconds, Robertson scored a breakaway goal, completing a hat trick and securing a 4-3 victory, keeping his team in the playoff contention. In another game that went into overtime that night, the Carolina Hurricanes staged a comeback to defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2. Jake Guentzel and Sidney Crosby scored for the Penguins in the first period, putting the Hurricanes at a two-goal deficit. However, Carolina fought back as Jordan Staal scored twice in the second and third periods to force overtime. Andrei Svechnikov netted a power-play goal early in the extra period, clinching the win. With this result, Carolina now holds a four-point lead over Pittsburgh at the top of the Metropolitan standings.
