Maralee Nichols is requesting substantial monthly child support payments.
Maralee Nichols, a 31-year-old fitness model, has filed legal documents against Tristan Thompson for their 3-month-old child. The requested child support amount has been disclosed, as reported by Us Weekly.
According to court documents, Maralee is asking for monthly child support of $47,424 based on Tristan’s income of $9.7 million and her income of $0.
She has also requested that Tristan cover her attorney fees, which amount to over $1 million.
The filing states that Tristan’s monthly income is estimated to be at least $810,075, while Maralee claims her monthly expenses are $22,263. She mentioned, “Theo and I are living at a far depressed standard of living than Tristan.”
Maralee alleged that before giving birth, she used to spend over $2,000 monthly on dining out and expects these expenses to increase as her child, Theo, grows older and COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. She also claimed to spend $3,500 a month on clothing, saying, “I have made a tremendous effort to reduce my spending. Previously, my average monthly expenses for clothing were in excess of $5,000.”
Nichols further mentioned that she currently resides in an apartment with a roommate, while Thompson allegedly has not provided any financial support and maintains a luxurious lifestyle.
Tristan confirmed in January that he is the child’s father, stating on his Instagram Story, “I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”
