# Flames Dominate Golden Knights, Predators Lose to Stars
The Las Vegas Golden Knights suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of the Calgary Flames with a scoreline of 6-0 in Calgary. The Flames showcased a dominant performance, extending their winning streak to four games. Mikael Backlund and Jacob Markstrom played pivotal roles in this victory. Markstrom, in particular, excelled by stopping all 28 shots he faced, while Backlund contributed a goal and three assists to secure the win.
Markstrom’s performance places him at the top among goaltenders this season with eight shutouts. The victory also brought Calgary, currently fourth in the Pacific standings, within five points of the Golden Knights at the summit. In another game, the Nashville Predators faced multiple deficits before succumbing to a loss against the Dallas Stars.
The Stars, propelled by Jason Robertson’s two power-play tip-ins and a goal from Roope Hintz, managed to hold off the Predators despite their attempts to equalize. Ultimately, Luke Glendening’s goal in the third period sealed a 4-3 victory for Dallas. The defeat leaves the Predators trailing eight points behind the Colorado Avalanche, who lead the Central Division.
