Brady Skjei contributed a goal and two assists, while Andrei Svechnikov scored twice to lead the Hurricanes to victory. In another game, the St. Louis Blues bounced back from a previous loss to dominate the Washington Capitals with a 5-1 win on home ice.
Despite the Capitals scoring first within two minutes, the Blues seized control of the game, with Pavel Buchnevich scoring twice and providing an assist. Goaltender Ville Husso allowed an early goal but proved formidable by stopping all 26 shots he faced for the remainder of the game. This victory marked the Blues’ seventh win in their last ten games, positioning them just one point behind the top spot in the Central Division as they strive to catch up with Nashville.
