YouTube sensation Jake Paul, who is looking to face UFC welterweight stars Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz following his knockout victory over Tyron Woodley, faced criticism when it was revealed that his rematch with Woodley garnered low pay-per-view numbers.

Jorge Masvidal mocked Paul for reportedly selling only 65k pay-per-views for his fight against Woodley. The event was initially set to feature Paul against Tommy Fury, but Woodley stepped in last minute due to Fury’s health issues.

Reports from boxing insider Steven Muehlhausen stated that the Paul-Woodley rematch amassed less than 65,000 buys on cable and satellite pay-per-view. Paul, however, disputed these numbers and claimed that they were higher than reported.

Amidst the social media buzz surrounding the pay-per-view figures, Paul eventually addressed the issue, admitting that it wasn’t his best “business night” but suggested that the actual numbers were better than 65,000 buys.

If the speculated numbers are accurate, it could signify a waning interest from fans in Paul’s fights, prompting suggestions that he should face a legitimate boxer to test his skills and regain the audience’s attention.
