It seems like there’s something about being in jail that Adrien Broner can’t resist, as he finds himself back in trouble once more.
According to TMZ Sports, boxer Adrien Broner was arrested and taken to the Kenton County Jail in Kentucky in the early hours of the morning for being a fugitive from another state with a warrant issued against him. The circumstances that led to his arrest are not yet clear.
In November, Broner was arrested for contempt in court after claiming he had only $13 in his bank account despite flaunting large amounts of cash on social media. This led to him being detained after Judge Nancy Margaret Russo became fed up with his behavior in court.
Reports suggest that Broner failed to meet several deadlines to provide evidence explaining why he couldn’t pay the $830,000 judgment against him.
During the court proceedings, Broner told the judge, “All I’ve got on me now is $13.” He mentioned having wealthy friends who support him financially, but he prioritizes his money on bills before helping others.
Judge Nancy ordered Broner to remain in custody until he provides accurate and detailed information about his financial situation at the time.
