In a recent incident, authorities responded to a report of a domestic dispute at Caesars Palace involving Jon Jones and his fiancée, Jessie Moses. Moses was reported to be bleeding from her nose/mouth when police arrived. Jones, a former UFC champion, was found outside the hotel and reportedly resisted arrest by causing damage to a police vehicle.
According to the police report, during his detainment, Jones aggressively hit his head on the patrol car, causing damage to the vehicle. Despite these events, Jones took to Instagram last Friday to share a video of him and Moses kissing in a car.
The video caption reads, “And I’ll stay with you. Oh, I will stay with you through the ups and the downs.” Jones has attributed his actions to struggles with alcohol. When authorities interviewed Moses, she mentioned that Jones got physical with her by pulling her hair, although she clarified that he did not hit her. Moses also described having a bump on her lip with dried blood, indicating a physical altercation occurred.
Although there was visible blood on her clothing, Moses chose not to seek a protective order against Jones. Notably, Jones had been inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame just prior to the incident. During his arrest, Jones expressed frustration and threatened legal action against the police for arresting him on a significant night.
Reports indicate that Jones displayed a range of emotions from crying to being calm and even joking about escaping custody before complying with the officers’ instructions to prevent being tased. Jones was subsequently taken to a local holding facility and charged with misdemeanor battery domestic as well as a felony charge for the damage to the police vehicle.
