Tampa Bay may not be the first place that comes to mind when thinking of hockey, but their recent success is helping to change that perception. With their second Stanley Cup win in nearly 30 years, the team is making a strong case for being a hockey powerhouse.

The victory came after a hard-fought 2-0 win over the Dallas Stars in Game 6. Tampa Bay’s defense was solid throughout the game, with only late attempts from the Stars causing any concern. Brayden Point scored in the first period, adding to his impressive 14-goal playoff tally, while Blake Coleman’s goal in the second period secured the 2-0 lead.

Both teams had been in a playoff bubble for 80 days, showing remarkable dedication and endurance. Victor Hedman, who contributed an assist in the win, was named the playoffs’ MVP and received the prestigious Conn Smythe Trophy.
