Boston College has introduced a new uniform, showcasing a fresh design inspired by the “Red Bandana” from Under Armour.

These uniforms will make their debut during the Red Bandana game, a cherished tradition at Boston College that commemorates the bravery of Welles Crowther, a hero who tragically lost his life on 9/11 while saving individuals trapped in the south tower of the World Trade Center.

Crowther became known for the distinctive “red bandana” he used to shield his face from smoke as he valiantly rescued 18 people from the tower.

Since 2014, Boston College has paid tribute to his legacy by wearing special Under Armour “red bandana” uniforms.

Over the years, the Eagles have a record of 3 wins and 3 losses in the annual Red Bandana game, securing victories against Florida State and Miami (Fla.) in 2017 and 2018, while sporting these unique uniforms.
