Jahreau Shepherd, a British MMA fighter known as “The Nightmare,” met a tragic end on his 30th birthday in South London, revealed by a report from The Sun.
The fighter was found with stab wounds in the Kensington area and despite the efforts of emergency personnel, he sadly passed away. An eyewitness mentioned that paramedics tried their best to save him, while his mother pleaded for his life, saying, “please keep going, please save my baby.”
Describing Shepherd, his cousin Tanisha Shepherd said, “He lived and breathed fighting. He was so looking forward to the gym opening again after the lockdown and was lining up a fight. He had everything to live for. He helped keep the young people on the straight and narrow and was a role model.”
Although no arrests have been made at present, a murder investigation is currently underway. A GoFundMe page has been created to assist with funeral expenses.
Shepherd had a 6-2 record in his fighting career and emerged victorious in the CEA and UCMMA championships in his last two fights.
