They maintained their form and extended their lead with a second goal from Benjamin Pavard with ten minutes left in the game. With this win, Bayern Munich now leads the table by four points over Dortmund and an additional two points over Monchengladbach. In the other match of the day, Cologne initially took a 2-0 lead at home but ended up drawing 2-2 against Mainz after squandering their lead in the second half.
