Who would have thought that showcasing soccer ball skills could lead to fame? It certainly helps when you’re both incredibly talented and attractive.
Raquel Benetti, a Brazilian freestyle soccer player from Sao Paulo, turned heads and gained viral attention on social media with a unique challenge she devised during quarantine.
The 29-year-old football enthusiast introduced the ‘strip-shirt challenge’, a task that involves juggling a soccer ball on one’s head while removing a shirt without dropping the ball.
In her video caption, Benetti wrote, “Give it a try, tag someone you’re certain can or cannot do it,” accompanying the post with #stripshirtchallenge and a playful “I doubt”.
Raquel aspires to secure a place in the Guinness World Records by surpassing the record of 55,197 consecutive ball touches, set by Milene Domingues in 1997, and also the time record of 8 hours and 24 minutes set by Claudia Martin in 2006.
