The sports community is grieving the loss of former Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson due to a tragic car accident on Sunday evening. Jackson, who was 36 years old, was known for his time on the field with both teams.

Jackson was driving his 2012 Chevrolet Camaro when it veered off the road, hit a tree, and overturned in a single-vehicle crash.

The Minnesota Vikings paid tribute to Tarvaris Jackson by creating a video showcasing some of his best moments playing for the team.

In a statement, the Vikings expressed their sadness over his passing, highlighting Jackson’s positivity, caring nature, and strong friendships within the organization and with fans. They extended their heartfelt condolences to his family.

Drafted in the 2006 NFL Draft, Jackson had a record of 10-10 as a starter for the Vikings, amassing 3,884 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and 22 interceptions. He also contributed with 535 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns during his time with the team.
