According to an announcement by the New York Knicks on Saturday, James Dolan, the chairman of Madison Square Garden, has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The 64-year-old is currently in self-isolation and is reportedly experiencing mild to no symptoms, as per the team’s statement.
Dolan’s company, MSG, recently finalized a deal to sell The Forum in Inglewood, California to Clippers owner Steve Ballmer for $400 million in cash.
In response to the NBA season suspension due to the coronavirus outbreak, Dolan assured that he would continue to pay workers at their venues at least until May 3rd.
