Zion Williamson made quite the debut in his first NBA preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks. Despite facing tough competition, the New Orleans Pelicans dominated the court that night.
Within the first two minutes, Williamson already nailed his first dunk, setting the tone for an impressive performance. Throughout the game, he showcased his skills with two more dunks before halftime.
Even though he stands at 6ft 7inches, it was revealed that Williamson is actually an inch shorter without shoes, following the league’s call for more accurate player measurements.
Despite his height discrepancy, Williamson’s athleticism was remarkable. By the end of the game, he had accrued three steals, three assists, and seven rebounds.
Ultimately, the New Orleans Pelicans secured a convincing 133-109 win against the Hawks.
The arena was bustling with enthusiastic fans, drawing in a crowd of over 15,000. Among them were some Hawks supporters who playfully chanted “overrated” in response to Williamson’s standout performance!
