Antonio Brown faced serious allegations of sexual assault and rape by one of his former trainers. With a second woman coming forward with similar accusations, the New England Patriots have decided to release him from the team.

Brown’s time with the Patriots was short-lived, having played just one game, and he expressed his good wishes for the team on Twitter.

The Patriots issued a statement acknowledging the efforts of many individuals in the past 11 days but believed it was necessary to go separate ways with Brown at this point.

The second accuser shared her story in an article on SI.com earlier this week, detailing how she was hired by Brown to work as a painter.
