A civil complaint filed on Tuesday has accused Antonio Brown of sexually assaulting a former personal trainer, Britney Taylor. The lawsuit was submitted in the US district court for southern Florida and alleges that Brown assaulted Taylor on three separate occasions.
Brown and Taylor first met at Central Michigan University in 2010 as members of a Christian athletes society, but lost contact until Brown contacted her via Facebook in 2017 to hire her as a personal trainer.
The allegations state that Brown made unwanted sexual advances towards Taylor twice in June 2017, causing Taylor to end their professional relationship, which resumed months later. Subsequently, Brown is accused of raping Taylor in May 2018.
Taylor is seeking $75,000 in damages for charges of battery, offensive sexual contact, and emotional distress related to the incidents.
Brown’s lawyer, Darren Heitner, has stated that Brown denies all allegations and claims that the relationship between Brown and Taylor was entirely consensual. He suggests that the lawsuit may be an attempt to extort money.
