Tiger Woods Pleased with Strong Performance at The Masters

Tiger Woods played a solid round of golf, finishing with a two-under 70 in the first round of The Masters. This puts him in contention to win his first green jacket since 2005. Woods has a history of starting well at Augusta, having shot 70 in his opening round in four of his previous wins and going under par on nine occasions on the first day.

Reflecting on his performance, Woods commented, “Overall, it was a good solid day. I navigated the course strategically, focusing on capitalizing on the par fives and avoiding mistakes.”

Woods impressed with a 25-foot birdie putt on the 14th hole, briefly holding a share of the lead. He wrapped up the day just one shot behind the top spot.

Looking ahead to Round 2 on Friday, Woods is scheduled to tee off at 1:49 pm ET.
