Jones expresses confidence that science will validate his position during a news conference leading up to his UFC 232 rematch with Alex Gustafsson.
He expressed his gratitude, stating, “I’m grateful that ASADA found it because I’ll be able to educate myself and know more about it.” Jones firmly believes, “I know for a fact this is gonna help fighters of the future and our sport…and like I said through science I’ll be vindicated.”
When asked about this by his opponent Gustafsson, he responded, “It’s bad for the sport. It’s bad for the organization. It’s not good for anyone having this type of conversation for a fight.” Gustafsson added, “it doesn’t really matter to me…we’re here, the fight is happening and I’m happy for that.”
Jones concluded by remarking, “This is all gonna be a blessing in disguise for me.”
