Two former Major League Baseball players, Luis Valbuena and José Castillo, tragically lost their lives in a car crash in Venezuela. The accident, which occurred in Yaracuy state, was caused by high speed according to a report from transit police. The driver of the vehicle lost control, leading to the car hitting a rock and overturning.
Valbuena, aged 33, had most recently been a player for the Los Angeles Angels and had been a free agent since the conclusion of the 2018 season.
