According to Kingsley Coman, Bayern Munich’s age is becoming a significant issue contributing to the team’s current struggles. To recreate the team’s past success, it is essential for the club to quickly bring in new, younger players.

In a recent match against Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund, Bayern suffered a 3-2 defeat with eight players from the 2013 Champions League final starting XI. This loss has widened the gap between Bayern, now in 5th place, and the table-topping Dortmund to seven points.

During a press conference on Wednesday, 22-year-old Coman emphasized the need for Bayern to recruit young talent promptly to prepare for the upcoming seasons. He acknowledged the current team’s quality but highlighted the impact of the aging squad on performance, urging the club to start considering new players.

Veteran wingers Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, who received one-year contracts ahead of this season, are now nearing the end of their time at Bayern. It is crucial for the club to identify replacements for them as their contracts are set to expire soon.
