Floyd Mayweather Jr, known for his multiple retirements, is coming out of retirement once again. On December 31st, he will be appearing at the Saitama Super Arena near Tokyo, Japan, which can accommodate up to 37,000 people. Mayweather is set to face a 20-year-old Japanese boxer in what is expected to be an exciting match. Ahead of the event, Mayweather and his opponent, Nasukawa, held a press conference in Toyo, which was broadcast globally on YouTube.

During the press conference, Mayweather announced the fight in collaboration with officials from Rizin Fighting Federation, a Japanese promotional company specializing in kickboxing and MMA. While the fight was confirmed, many specific details such as the rules, number of rounds, and glove types were not disclosed.

Earlier on the same day as the conference, Mayweather shared a photo on his Instagram with the caption “31st December #Tokyo,” hinting at his upcoming match. Interestingly, Mayweather, who typically discusses his earnings for fights, chose not to divulge any information regarding the financial aspects of this particular match during the conference.

During the press conference, Mayweather appeared in a red, white, and blue tracksuit and mentioned, “Details about the rules and weight class will be finalized in the coming weeks. My fans in Japan have shown me incredible love and respect, and I want to give them something special by fighting live in Tokyo, a first for me.” With this upcoming match at the end of the year, Mayweather is making a return from retirement once again to delight his fans.
