According to sources at ESPN, Andre Iguodala, the forward for the Golden State Warriors, has been free of pain in recent days and is not ruling out a comeback for the NBA Finals. He displayed positive signs by engaging in a personal workout and sprinting for the first time since sustaining a knee injury in Game 3 of the conference finals.
Despite this progress, his availability for Game 3 of the Finals remains uncertain. When asked about his status after the Warriors’ victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Iguodala expressed his intention to play but emphasized the need to wait and see.
The 2015 Finals MVP has missed the last four games following a collision with James Harden of the Houston Rockets. Head coach Steve Kerr has expressed optimism about Iguodala’s potential return, noting his gradual improvement but acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding his participation.
Kerr previously mentioned Iguodala’s struggle to stay sidelined during the playoffs, describing his frustration with the body not responding to treatment.
On a different note, Draymond Green rolled his ankle in Game 7 but managed to contribute significantly with 10 points, five assists, and 13 rebounds. While he appeared to limp post-game, Green’s treatment improved his condition.
Despite Iguodala’s uncertain status, the Warriors are considered strong contenders for the NBA title due to their lineup featuring four of the top 20 players in the league.
