LeBron James steps into Michael Jordon’s all-time league record

LeBron James matched Michael Jordon’s record and just like him; he has joined him in the record books on Wednesday as one of the most consistent scorers in the history on NBAA while playing against Jordon-owned Charlotte Hornets.

James has successfully joined Jordon’s all-time league record of 866 consecutive games with about 10 points or more in the first half of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 118-105 victory over the Hornets on Wednesday.

Ironically, Jordan’s 866 consecutive game streaks began in the year 1986 after a night when he got eight points in a loss to the Cavaliers. Jordan’s game streak ended in his final season with the Wizards when he scored six points in the game against the Indiana Pacers. James’ current streak began on 5 January 2007 following an eight-point, 3-for-13 shooting in the game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Jordon has not yet commented anything on James breaking his league record, but as per ESPN, James was humbled afterward.

James’ ceiling has most of the time been higher than others, but it is his floor that defines how precisely and consistently he plays. James Harden, the MVP front-runner, holds the second-largest streak of 257 consecutive games in his golden offensive age among the active players. At the age of 33, James may stretch this league record into an untouchable zone.

In a match after scoring only 18 during the first night in a loss to the Miami Heat, James played amazingly well. James scored a 10th point in 18 minutes after receiving a lob from JR Smith. James scored another 31 points over the final 28 to give himself shooting-of-26, 41 points from the field in the Cavaliers win.

After playing for every single game in this season, it is great to see James perform well now than compared to all season, with the playoffs approaching nearer.
