Buffalo Bills’ Zay Zones arrested after a bloody confrontation with his brother
Zay Jones, the wide receiver of Buffalo Bills, was arrested in Los Angeles late Monday, as reported by TMZ. Jones was arrested on the grounds of having a heated battle or confrontation with his brother that left the walls of the apartment building bloodied and glass broken.
On Tuesday, Buffalo Bills acknowledged the incident that put Jones behind the bars. In a statement, Bills said that they were aware of the incident in involving Zay Jones and they are still in the process of gathering more information on the matter and at present, they do not want to give any further comment about it. The TMZ report had a video in which a nude man, allegedly Zay Jones, was in a violent mood and was having a confrontation with his brother Cayleb Jones in a hallway.
Cayleb Jones is also a wide receiver playing for the Minnesota Vikings. In the video, a woman could be heard screaming and one can see blood spread on the walls and the floor along with debris. Also in the report, a still image was there that showed broken glass window. As per the report, Jones might have tried to break the window to escape but he failed in doing so and was restrained. Jones was held at the apartment before the police arrived and arrested him. The police charged him with felony vandalism, as per the report.
According to the reports of USA Today, the police confirmed that Zay Jones was arrested due to a bloody confrontation with his brother. Last season, Jones caught 27 passes for 316 yards along with two touchdowns. He was a rookie in 2017 and a second-round pick out of East Carolina. His brother Cayleb Jones signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in May 2016. Later he was waived by the Eagles. Recently, Jones signed a reserve or future contract with the Minnesota Vikings.
