After largely peaceful revelry of fans at the Eagles’ Super Bowl parade on Friday, Philadelphia’s mayor praised fans for their behavior. On the other side, some few hiccups also reported during the celebration. As per the report, the hiccup includes two stabbings, a toppled Jumbotron and the assault of an officer. After the incident police have arrested two persons.
Hundreds of thousands of people wearing green came to the road for celebrating the Eagles’ first Super Bowl victory and crowded the city for a part.
Stating the event ended without a hitch, Jim Kenney Mayor stated, “I don’t think many people would argue when I say this week has been one of the greatest weeks in Philadelphia history.”
Richard Ross, the Police Commissioner stated that all the foul made during the celebration were minor. He further added that four police cars dented by fans as they climbed on them, two-person found stabbed but they survived and another incident was an officer who was assaulted by a woman while trying to get onto the parade. Based on the assault, police have detained two. People attempting to scale a Jumbotron knocked over the huge video screen.
In the parade, the team traveled in open-top double-decker buses from their stadium to the art museum. Coach Doug Pederson had walked 5-mile route holding the Lombardi Trophy and allowed the fans to touch the trophy. Dressed in a genie outfit Center Jason Kelce, gave an impassioned and profane speech to Philly fan.
Kelce shouted “We were a bunch of underdogs. Bottom line is we wanted it more!”
Well, the celebration brought a headache for maintenance crews as they worked overnight to clean up the trash and garbage left behind by fans.
After the Super Bowl victory, fans overturned a car, shattered storefront windows, ate horse feces, collapsed a hotel’s awning and hit the police commissioner in the head with a bottle.
