76ers’ coaching staff hampers my game shape: Jahlil Okafor

Jahlil Okafor

Jahlil Okafor has made his debut in Brooklyn on Friday during  33 points beatdown loss at the hand of the Raptors. It seems that he will have to wait for some time to get the place.  Somehow it has proved that it is not enough to stay in NBA game by just playing few games in a month. Okafor, who has been playing two games in giving weeks has finally got to know that, he has been traded to the Nets besides let him get off the bench.

Well, it was the mutual decision of the team coach Kenny Atkinson and Jahlil Okafor to keep him off the flour. The reason behind this is the short supply as he ran up and down the court against Toronto.

Informing more about this, Okafor stated that till now he is not ready to play around 25 or 30 minutes or neither he can help the team to win the game. He further informed that he is not contributing much time for the team. But he expresses that he wants to join the team and play with the teammates.

He also stated that this the reason why he is happy as he is now with the actual NBA coaching staff. He is currently getting proper care from the team. “But it’s a different level when you’re working with an NBA staff.,” said Jahlil Okafor.

On 7th November 2017, Okafor last played a game for the Sixers before his debut appearance with Brooklyn. While the ex-Blue Devil Player of the Year once appeared to be a centrepiece of the process, the team had decided not to choose Okafor for the fourth-year of the rookie contract.

Due to Philadelphia’s inability to trade him Okafor had been stuck on the bench. However, in the end, Brooklyn agreed to take Nik Stauskas and Okafor in for Trevor Booker on December 7.
