After 10th October the U.S. Men’s National Team has been facing a lot of criticisms from people since that embarrassing evening. Well after that defeat, it is for the first time since 1986, the team is not able to make itself for the World Cup. Now the American soccer team is thoroughly working on the Five Stage of Grief to find out the actual reason behind the incident.
Commenting on this former U.S. Men’s National Team player Alexi Lalas said that, a soccer team to get qualify for the World Cup, the team must read the primer on the youth development gap. It is the coach who faces a lot of tension if the team failed to perform well and the same thing has happened with the team coach Bruce Arena after the T&T nightmare. He also informed about the must-have qualities of a player to get selected for the U.S. Men’s National Team.
The first thing is that the to bring out the best of a player. The critical factor that can help the team is practice. All the players need to play and play often. He stated that playing some crucial matches and competing for a place in the team is the surest way to get the best out of a player.
Playing exact matches is not the only thing that can help the U.S. Men’s National Team to win every match. There are some other factors like youth development system, from pay-to-play clubs to a stunning lack of diversity and outreach to underprivileged kids, needs to be reexamined and retooled, said Alexi Lalas. The is no shortcut for this.
For now, the big event is the election of the new president of the U.S Soccer Federation which will be held in the February 2018. To eliminate all the systemic issues, the new president must have to do something to get the system on the right track. Money is not the primary problem it is the system that needs to be taken care properly. It may take a few years, but these systemic reforms will get done because the majority of people are demanding them.
