Social media sensation Jake Paul is gearing up for what could be his toughest challenge to date as he prepares to face off against Mike Tyson.
The showdown is scheduled to take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in July of this year, with the event set to be televised live on Netflix. Leading up to the fight, there has been speculation about Tyson risking his health; however, since it is likely to be an exhibition match, both fighters are expected to approach it with a lighter attitude.
Prior to the fight, it was revealed that Jake Paul had bulked up significantly and appeared larger for the upcoming bout. While Paul has previously fought at 185lbs, his current weight is reportedly around 230lbs.
Interestingly, Paul claims that despite his increased size, he still feels quick. This sentiment was echoed by boxing legend Shane Mosley, who mentioned:
“I just saw Jake yesterday, he’s 230 pounds. He’s big, really big. He said he feels as fast as he does at 185.”
Jake Paul Proposes $10 Million for MMA Fight with Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz
Jake Paul recently extended an intriguing offer to former UFC fighters Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz. With four years since his professional boxing debut, Paul has taken on notable opponents such as Anderson Silva, Tommy Fury, and Tyron Woodley.
Furthermore, there were talks of a potential bout between Paul and Jorge Masvidal in the past, although that didn’t materialize, leading to a fight with Nate Diaz instead.
On a recent episode of his podcast, Jake Paul expressed his serious interest in stepping into the MMA arena against either Masvidal or Diaz. He stated:
“I’m so serious when I say I want to fight in MMA, either Masvidal or Nate in the PFL.”
It remains to be seen if such a matchup will materialize in the future.
