Fans in attendance at UFC 285 were given a special bonus: A live experience of actor Jake Gyllenhaal filming in the octagon.

That’s right. The beloved actor was inside the fighting cage for last night’s event at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Gyllenhaal and former UFC star Jay Hieron were filming an action scene for “Road House”, an upcoming remake of the popular 1989 film.

Gyllenhaal and Hieron have been filming parts of the film throughout the week. A viral video of Gyllenhaal’s “Road House” stunts has been going viral, and you can check out a shot of it below:

The headline of last night’s event was Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane in a Heavyweight bout. Jones went on to win via submission in a fight that lasted 2:04. The other headliner saw Alexa Grasso defeat Valentina Shevchenko via submission in the Women’s Flyweight bout.

Saturday marked Jones’ first fight in the UFC since UFC 247 on Feb. 8, 2020 in Houston, Texas. There, “Bones Jones” defeated Dominick Reyes in a unanimous decision. Jones owns a career record of 27-1, with the only loss coming via disqualification to Matt Hamill in 2009.

The original “Road House” was released 33 years ago. It stars Patrick Swayze as James Dalton, Kelly Lynch as as Dr. Elizabeth Clay and Sam Elliott as Wade Garrett. The upcoming remake will be released by Amazon Studios, staring Gyllenhaal as Elwood Dalton and Daniela Melchior as Ellie.
