Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was victorious over the weekend, claiming a trophy at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Sunday. Rodgers and his partner Ben Silverman held on to win the pro-am portion of the event by a single stroke, but the win was met with controversy. PGA Tour star Keith Mitchell, who finished fourth at the Pro-Am, suggested that Rodgers’ handicap of 10 was too generous and that he and his partner Josh Allen should have been declared the winners.

The Pro-Am event was cut short to three rounds due to inclement weather on Saturday, and Rodgers admitted he hadn’t played golf since before the start of the NFL season. Despite his lack of confidence, the Green Bay Packers quarterback managed to pull off a win. Josh Allen, Mitchell’s partner, also seemed to take exception to Rodgers being declared the winner, suggesting that the victory should come with an asterisk due to the handicap discrepancy. Nevertheless, a win is a win.
