Trevor Bauer is known for his quirky antics, and he didn’t disappoint in his debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

During a spring training game against the San Diego Padres, Bauer caught everyone’s attention by pitching the entire first inning with one eye closed.

When asked about his unusual tactic, Bauer shared, “I figured if they can’t score off me with one eye open, it’s going to be difficult to score off me with two eyes open. Just having a little bit of fun.”

Despite the unorthodox approach, Bauer impressed with three scoreless innings and three strikeouts in the game. He has thrown a total of five scoreless innings with five strikeouts this spring.

Reflecting on his performance, Bauer shared, “I’ve been working on my mechanics. I felt much better. My velocity went up dramatically.”
