The New York Mets have formally appointed Luis Rojas as their manager, stepping into the role previously held by Carlos Beltran. Following Beltran’s departure before managing a single game, the Mets introduced Rojas as the successor. Rojas, formerly serving as the Mets’ quality-control coach, has been offered a multiyear contract.
