**Cowboys Likely to Part Ways with Jason Garrett, Reports from the NFL**

On Thursday night, there was a flurry of reports about Jason Garrett that left Cowboys fans on edge yet somewhat relieved.

According to Yahoo Sports, sources revealed that the Cowboys’ long-time head coach had been conversing with players as if he would still be part of the team.

The report stated that in exit interviews, Garrett thanked players for their efforts in the 2019 season and discussed their plans for the off-season. In some cases, where players had expiring contracts, Garrett even mentioned the possibility of the Cowboys wanting them back in 2020. This left some players feeling confused as they were expecting a farewell message but received a more positive vibe instead.

Moreover, NFL insider Ed Werder mentioned that Cowboys owners Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones have been deliberate and considerate in handling Garrett’s situation due to their respect for him.

Despite all this, Garrett showed up for work but did not meet with the Joneses as anticipated. His contract with the Cowboys is slated to end on January 14th.

During his decade as head coach, the 53-year-old Garrett guided the team to an 85-67 record (55.3 percent) and secured three playoff appearances.
