Following a recent ACL tear, Cousins’ season could be in jeopardy.

DeMarcus Cousins, a player for the Lakers, tore his left ACL during a brief practice session in Las Vegas.

Cousins is no stranger to basketball injuries. In 2018, while playing for the New Orleans Pelicans, he ruptured his Achilles tendon, a painful setback. He then joined the Golden State Warriors to bounce back, only to tear his quadriceps. These repeated injuries have been devastating for Cousins, a talented player with high potential.

It’s likely that Cousins will miss the upcoming season due to this injury. He was looking forward to the new season, especially after achieving his weight loss goals. Now, he is understandably shaken and feeling demoralized.

With Cousins out, Davis is now the main backup for McGee in the Lakers’ lineup. The team may need to consider recruiting another player, as their options are limited, putting the management in a tough spot. Consequently, Davis may have to take on a more significant role as a center.

Let’s keep Cousins in our thoughts and wish him a speedy recovery. Hopefully, he can make a strong comeback within a year and stay healthy for a while. For some positive basketball news, you can read about Zion Williamson’s potential success.
