According to Business Insider, UFC fighter Conor McGregor suffered a heavy loss against Khabib Nurmagomedov in UFC 229 last year, leading UFC President Dana White to suggest a rematch this year.
The UFC 229 event was marred by post-fight riots and chaos, and both fighters are presently awaiting a decision following a disciplinary hearing held by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on January 29.
Assuming their suspensions are not prolonged, White believes there is potential for the two fighters to negotiate another bout later in 2019. White expressed to TMZ Sports this week, “I think a lot of people want to see that fight.”
