World Series: Despite Red Sox Dominance, Don’t Expect Series Sweep

The Boston Red Sox jumped out to a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers, but here’s why you should expect the series to return to Boston.

There’s a big gap in regular season wins with the Dodgers’ 92 wins compared to the Red Sox 108 wins. After the first two games of the World Series, it looks like the Red Sox are the superior team.

The series moves to LA for game 3 on Friday, with Walker Buehler starting for the Dodgers. It could be argued that in the next two games, the Dodgers have the starting pitching edge over the Red Sox, and getting left-handers in the lineup.

It would be a shock if the Red Sox do sweep the Dodgers in the World Series, but it would not be surprising if the Series returns to Boston to play game 6 or 7.
