A day after the memorable comeback of Jimmy Butler to the Timberwolves and confronting his teammates and the front office of the team, Butler said that he was ready to get into practice again on Thursday. The worst part was that there wasn’t any practice whatsoever.

In the wake of the Friday’s preseason finale at Milwaukee, the Wolves have reportedly cancelled their practice match along with their media availability on Thursday. Due to this Butler was allowed to reinstatement in the team without simmering anyone down from the organization. It was a challenging move given the fact that the coach of Timberwolves Tom Thibodeau and a few of the players have been telling in recent days that they still have got a lot of work to do to get ahead of the opener in San Antonio on Wednesday.

But Butler reportedly held a players-only meeting on Thursday and in this meeting he had aired “his feelings towards the management and the situation according to a tweet from the Athletic. In the same tweet, Butler has expressed his wish to compete with other players as a sign for him to stay in the franchise and get into the regular season.

Butler has been away from the team for the training camp and the preseason as he wanted to be traded away and after his return, he didn’t feel like holding back. The native of Houston, 29-year-old Butler, allegedly challenged many of the top players of the Wolves’ such as Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns during a tussle session where he managed to beat all of the top players of the team along with some reserve players, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

He even lashed out on the general manager of the team Scott Layden and Tom Thibodeau during the practice. It is still uncertain whether Butler will don Timberwolves’ jersey when the regular season gets kicked off.
