Selected Lakers employees along with Magic Johnson had the privilege to take a peek at the most intriguing team in NBA to enter the 2018-19 season before the training camp began on Tuesday. The Hall of Famer had a hand in convincing LeBron to direct his talents to Los Angeles was proud of what he saw.

The president of the basketball operations of Lakers, Johnson said in the press conference of pre-training, last week that “Oh my goodness, it was something to watch.” He revealed that he watched LeBron from a distance, watching LeBron at many games is something usual but watching LeBron James in the gym is complete a different thing altogether. LeBron James makes everyone feel better, and everyone’s level of play increases around LeBron.

The Lakers had their annual media day on Monday at the El Segundo practice facility. The Lakers have hosted much more Journalist that people do not even witness in many playoffs. Usually, an annual media day like this features reporters, local writers and TV Stations but this time there were many international journalists like CNN, each and every one of them wanted LeBron’s official comment as a Los Angeles Lakers. Every single move that LeBron made during the press day was documented.

Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram have faced less scrutiny than the past years and conversations were made regarding the additions of Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee, Lance Stephenson, Michael Beasley and LeBron James.

Big things are expected from Laker’s Kyle Kuzma in his second season. He had to work up with Kobe Bryant to take the steps needed for the off-season. Ingram is just 21-year-old but has massive offensive potential. Hart, named as the MVP of Summer League.

Rob Pelinka, the general manager of Lakers, said: “This group of guys is as competitive as you can imagine.”
