Donovan Mitchell ruled the thunder in his debut match

It all started after the match played on 23rd December 2017 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Jazz. In that match, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the jazz with 113-89 scores, and Donovan Mitchell had scored 29 points. It was all coming before the Christmas. There was no doubt that Mitchell was impressing everyone in the league but had surprisingly caught the attention of the Thunder’s three main payers named Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Carmelo Anthony.

As per the report after the game all the three players were found talked with Donovan Mitchell. Sources also stated that Westbrook spent his most of the time with Donovan and ended with a pat on Mitchel’s head. When asked about the conversation, Mitchel stated “He just said, Don’t stop. Can’t tell you everything else.”
Well, such behaviour of Westbrook has shown a different character of him. It is very rare to see Westbrook talking with the opponents. But in that match, Westbrook saw something in Mitchel which had to lead him to talk with Mitchel.

On the other side, Carmelo Anthony stated: “You guys are watching something here that could be very special.” Mitchel has been playing well throughout the season, arousing comparisons to Dwyane Wade.

Talking about the gameplay, Mitchel has scored 38 points on 14-of-26 shooting in a close 96-91 game, and the team cornered six victories. While in the third quarter, Mitchell dripped 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting. That included eight straights and three 3 pointers. On the other side, Westbrook dripped 27 points on 7-of-14 shooting, which included four 3 pointers.

However, Mitchell passed with flying colours and performed well in Game 2. He took the Jazz to win. He scored 22 in Game 3 and 33 in Game 2.
