Los Angeles Rams and Ndamukong Suh sign a 1-year $14 million contract

Ndamukong Suh has agreed to a one year contract with the Los Angeles Rams. The team announced this on Monday. As per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Suh’s contract is worth $14M.

Now with Suh playing along with Aaron Donald for the team this 2018 season, NFL offences are about to be petrified with the twosome. Earlier this month, Suh was released by the Dolphins after he played for three seasons in Miami. He went through several free-agent opportunities before signing a deal with the Los Angeles Rams, who have already made changes in the team’s solid defence by adding several offseason players.

Notably, Suh was a five-time Pro Bowl selection in his eight-year-long career with Detroit and Miami. He is considered as one of NFL’s most impressive defensive player having 51 ½ career sacks. He has also never missed a game due to an injury.

Having Suh and Donald play side by side, the Los Angeles Rams will now have a strong foundation set for the defensive coordinator Wade Phillips’ 3-4 scheme. The 31-year-old Suh has never played in a 3-4 alignment in his NFL career, but Phillips specialized in finding out new ways for outstanding the players to shine brightly. Besides, Suh will be lining up with Donald in a partnership that will stretch most opponents’ blocking abilities to a test.

During his free agency tour, Suh had visited Tennessee and New Orleans and was also scheduled to visit Oakland before he cancelled the meet last week. Moreover, Suh had also managed to attract some serious interest from the New York Jets but the two publicly rescinded the contract offer on Sunday. So instead, after a visit to their training complex and dinner in Malibu, the Los Angeles Rams won over Suh last week.
