Oklahoma City Thunder defeats Atlanta Hawks by 119-107

Russell Westbrook has created a record in NBA history on Tuesday night with his 100 triple-doubles and 16-0 runs down.

Apart from this record, his tremendous gameplay has to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to win the match played against the Atlanta Hawks. The team defeated the Hawks by 119-117 making their fourth straight victory. Westbrook with his 100 triple-doubles has become the fourth player to achieve this in NBA history.

As per the report, in that match, Westbrook managed to corner 32 points, 12 assists and seized 12 rebounds. With these he has now joined the group which includes Oscar Robertson who has done 181 triple-doubles, Magic Johnson has 138 triple-doubles, and Jason Kidd has 107 triple-doubles.

Expressing his joy, Westbrook stated “I give thanks to the man above just for allowing me to go out and play the game. I love every night. I have never assumed it for granted, and it is just unbelievable.”

Apart from that, Westbrook is the third-fastest player among others who have achieved the milestone. Talking about other players, Magic Johnson achieved this milestone in his 656th game and on the other side Robertson required 277 games. Till now in his career, Westbrook had played more 736 games.

Westbrook stated further “The group of guys that’s ahead is Hall of Famers. I am just happy to be a part of the crew with those guys.”

During the match, when Westbrook grabbed his 10th rebound while there was only 2:38 time remaining. In the match Anthony scored total 21 points, Grant knapped 20 points. That helped the team which was playing without Paul George who is now suffering from a groin injury.

Anthony stated “For me, being able to be a part of that and be alongside him is like a special moment for me. It’s something that we should all appreciate.”
